for mau2x part one...

mau, i purposely made this site for you kay i find it really hard i.post sa friendster, isa pa blocked ang friendster sa among office, tapos kung i.email nako, i cant verify kung makita ba ang mga picture, so nagbuhat kog blogsite... mao ning mga instructions on how to arrange the cube, the beginner's way... the colors might not correspond to the color arrangement sa imo rubic's cube, pag imagine nlng since wlay stardard color arrangement sa rubic's cube, isa pa maayo btaw kag imagination.. ok? so here....

I supposed all the colors in layer 1 including the top colors were arrange, now let’s arrange 2nd layer the basic way…. (Nose bleeding is required since I’ll be giving all the instructions in English, I repeat, ENGLISH!!! Except of course in areas where I myself cannot express in English, whatever!!!!

Now let’s begin… are you ready? clap your hands three times and hold the cube tightly, don’t forget to clap your hands…

(For the record color gray means ignore-this-tiles-for-a-moment, ok?)

After arranging the 1st layer and the top layer, position the center tile on the 2nd layer that will correspond to the first layer, this move doesn’t have any tricks or whatever there is since this is a preset position. (nose bleed). Supposed all four center tiles on layer 2 has been positioned lets arrange the sides of the second layer… oh yeah!!!

Let’s pretend that you have the white color opposite to yellow color which on this case was our top layer, ok? We are so pretentious here, just bare with me…

Now you need chose any two partnered (is there such term as partnered? hehehe) tile on the center of the third and bottom layer that does not have any white color on it… like this…

OR THIS

Just as long as there is no white color on both tiles (red and green colors are at the other sides where we cant see for this case, another assumption and pretensions hehehe)

Let’s take example number 1, the one that has orange and blue colors… turn it to the side where the color of the bottom tile correspond to the color of the center tile on the 2nd layer and color of the center tile of the 3rd layer correspond to the color of the center tile of the 2nd layer to It’s adjacent side, parehas aning picture sa ubos, ang blue naa sa bottom layer tapos ang orange naa sa side, partner and tawag nato ani sa ila .. like this…

from here:

to here:

Now let’s start with the process of solving the second layer, since all the center tiles of the second layer are arrange, we are going to arrange the sides of the 2nd layer.

  1. turn the blue side counter-clockwise ( ill be using CCW for counter-clockwise all through out ky medyo gadali ko ky ang mga tao sa ofis gakatingala na unsay akong kabusihan and CW for clockwise, ok?)
  2. then turn the bottom layer to the CCW.
  3. turn the blue side CW
  4. face the blue side
  5. turn both side downwards (the side containing orange and the opposite side I think it’s red or green, whatever, I cant see what you’re seeing)
  6. now turn the bottom layer to the CW
  7. turn the side with the orange color upside
  8. then turn the bottom layer to the CCW
  9. turn the side opposite of the orange side upwards
  10. turn the orange side downwards
  11. turn the bottom layer to the CCW
  12. turn the orange side upwards.

By now your cube should look like this….

Now mangita na pud kag color sa center sa 3rd layer nga wlay white, take example 2… this one…
Then turn it to the side where blue and red are adjacent… like this…

Tapos repeat steps 1 to twelve hangtud ma complete ang second layer.. in case ang mahitabo ing-ani…

Sa step one blue side ra japon imo i.turn CW, sa step 2 instead of turning the bottom layer CCW, sa right na nimo i.turn. same ang step 3. sa step four instead of facing the blue side, face the orange side. Sa step 5 mao ra japon turn both side downwards (the side containing blue and the opposite side I think it’s red or green). Sa step six instead of turning the bottom layer CW turn it CCW. sa step 7, turn the side with the blue color upside, step 8, turn the bottom layer CW. turn the side opposite of the blue side upwards. turn the blue side downwards. turn the bottom layer to the CW. turn the blue side upwards. So mao ran a pag arrange sa second layer…

mau, practice sa aning second layer ha? unya na pud ang third layer kay medyo na busy na pud kos work, char kau... ok? unya cguro hapon nko humanon ang third layer, ill post it here... if you have any questions just give me a ring, you know my number.. okies?

to mau2x (the final round)

Solving the third and bottom layer

Now that we’re done with the top, first and 2nd layer we are going to fix the third layer and bottom layer, the best thing here is that fixing the third layer is also fixing the bottom layer altogether, just like the first and the top layer, ok so much for the talking.. let’s start with the procedures….

Note that our top layer is yellow and our bottom layer is white; let’s call it the original config. Why config? I don’t know I just feel like calling it so… so let’s start...

1. by now your cube should look something like this…

2. now turn the cube upside down making the white our top layer and yellow our bottom layer. by now your cube should look at least one of these. . .

now we are going to form a nine o'clock figure using the white tiles (if there is already a nine o'clock figure ignore this steps and proceed to step 10, but read steps 3 to 9 first to know the details, ok?).

3. face the blue side, or any side as long as the straight white tiles are pointing directly to you, like this...

(from now on we will use the following convention TL for top layer, BL for bottom layer, and so on, refer to the figure below)

4. turn RSL downwards
5. turn TL to the right
6. turn FL CCW
7. turn TL to the left
8. turn FL CW
9. turn RSL upwards

by now you should have a 9 o'clock white tiles figure... like this...

10. after having a nine o'clock figure, we going to from a cross white tiles figure.. to from a cross just repeat steps 4 to 9 ( if there is already a cross figure proceed to next step)..

by now your cube should like like this...

11. turn your cube back to the original config (TL - yellow)
12. find one tile on the on the center of the 3rd layer that has the same color to the center of 2nd layer. like this...

12. face the side where the center of the 3rd layer has the same color to the center of 2nd layer (for this case face the blue side).

13. turn RSL downwards
14. turn the 3rd layer to the right twice
15. turn RSL upwards
16. turn the 3rd layer to the right once.
17. turn RSL downwards
18. turn the 3rd layer to the right once.
19. turn the RSL upwards

check if all the center of the 3rd layer correspond to all the colors of the center to the 2nd layer. if not, repeat steps 13 to 19 facing the same side in step 12.

from now on we will call steps 13 to 14 "down right right" ok?

by now your cube should look something like this...

there are cases where after forming the cross figure you can't locate only one color on center of the 3rd layer which corresponds to the color of the center of the 2nd layer, instead naay duha ka color miski unsa-on og tuyok sa 3rd layer duha jud kabouk ang masakto.... like this...

____________________________________________________________________

1.1.2. then do the "down right right" move
1.1.3. after the "down right right" check if all center of the 2nd and 3rd layer correspond with each other by turning the 3rd layer either to the left or right... gikapoy nakog english oy!!! pero wla man puy nag sugo sko nga mag english ko...
____________________________________________________________________

now let's go back...

after all the centers of the second and third layer correspond with each other (meaning naa na clay mutual understanding, letse kau nga mga tiles mag M.U.2x) we're ground to arrange the corners of the third layer, this is last and final step to complete the cube.. yeahey!!!

20. first look for a corner of the 3rd layer where the three tiles are compatible with the colors of the bigger corner.. like this...

take note that white is still your bottom layer and yellow's still your top layer. this is just an illustration, got it?...

21. hold the cube such that the corner of the 3rd layer on target (meaning kanang white-blue-orange nga corner) is on the right side layer...
22. do the "down right right" move

steps 23 to 29 we will call this the "counter" move...

23. turn LSL downwards
24. turn the 3rd layer to the right twice
25. turn LSL upwards
26. turn the 3rd layer to the right once.
27. turn LSL downwards
28. turn the 3rd layer to the right once.
29. turn the LSL upwards

check if the corner of the 3rd layer and the bigger corner is already arranged, if not do the "down right right" and the "counter" move once more until the corners are arranged.

do the same move for the rest of the corners, until the cube is completed and your done...

bare in mind that the target corner should always be on the right side layer, meaning kung ma arrange na ang isa ka cornera ang sunod nga corner i.arrange ang naa sa iyang right side... naay case nga ang 3 ka color sa corner og ang bigger corner dili mag compatible.. naay steps ani pero tym na man so i.txt nlng in case maka tagbo ka ani nga problema, im sure maka tagbo ka ani... txt lang,...
